As the new school year approaches, Miami-Dade County Public Schools have earned an A grade for 2024, marking the fifth consecutive time. Among the standout schools are Key Biscayne K-8 Center and MAST Academy, both of which earned an “A” grade and continue to set the standard for educational achievement in the district.<\/p>
The Florida Department of Education recently announced the Florida School Accountability Reports for the 2023-2024 year under the new school grading scale.<\/p>
Key Biscayne K-8 Center:<\/strong> A highly-rated public school in a large suburban setting, with over 870 students from Pre-K to 8th grade and an 18:1 student-teacher ratio.<\/p> MAST Academy:<\/strong> A magnet school located in Key Biscayne, FL, established in September 1991 with a long history of excellence. The school has over 1,530 students in 6th-12th grades and a 21:1 student-teacher ratio. MAST Academy offers a full range of honors, AP, Cambridge (AICE), and Dual Enrollment courses.<\/p> Statewide, the number of \u201cA\u201d rated schools rose by 6% to nearly 1,300, while schools receiving \u201cD\u201d or \u201cF\u201d grades decreased significantly.
